Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Civil Engineer to focus on civil site development projects in a staff role. The incumbent will assist in design, permitting, and coordination across disciplines.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and a PE license or is pursuing registration, with at least five years of related experience. The role supports flexible work arrangements and a comprehensive benefits portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Licensed PE or actively pursuing PE registration.
• Strong understanding of civil site development (site plans, permitting, grading, storm water management).
• Ability to lead portions of complex projects with guidance and mentorship.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Design projects from concept/bid through design completion per client needs.
• Assist Engineering Manager in schedules and budgets.
• Interface with clients or sub-consultants under Engineering Manager guidance.
• Support business development through technical proposals and client presentations.
• Coordinate communication across engineering disciplines and project teams.
