Schnabel, Inc. in Helena, Montana is seeking a civil engineer to support our dams and water infrastructure projects. You will analyze gates, valves, pipelines, pumps, and reinforced concrete, and perform field inspections across the United States.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in civil engineering required.
• Successful completion of the EIT and potential licensure as a PE.
• Ability to perform field inspections and travel.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design water infrastructure components (gates, valves, pipelines).
• Perform dam and hydraulic structure inspections in the field.
• Develop engineering recommendations and write technical reports.
• Prepare plans and specifications for construction documents.
• Create 2D drawings in AutoCAD and 3D models in Civil 3D.
• Estimate probable project costs and collaborate across offices.
