Job summary

The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) is hiring a Child Support Services Agent 1 in Douglasville, GA. You will help establish paternity, enroll and enforce support obligations, and coordinate with courts and public partners to ensure children receive support.

Under supervision, you will manage a caseload, communicate with clients by phone and email, and work toward the department's goal of stronger families and greater self-sufficiency for Georgia residents.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or high school diploma/GED with 1 year of direct job-related experience
• Strong customer service and communication abilities are preferred

Responsibilities

• Registers child support applications and validates locations
• Establishes child support obligations and ensures they are met
• Communicates with clients via telephone and email to maintain service levels
• Manages a caseload to meet the Same Day Service Standard
