Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Paralegal or legal secretarial training may substitute for two years of required training.
• Experience in debt collection, credit investigations, criminal investigations, law enforcement, accounting, or auditing.
• Experience as Economic Service Worker or Family Support Specialist.
• Any combination thereof may substitute for the required training at a rate of one year for every thirty semester hours of training.
• May be required to have a valid driver's license and availability of a vehicle for continuous use.

Responsibilities

• Perform entry-level child support case work under supervision.
• Process cases, locate parents, assets, and sources of income.
• Calculate child support using the statutory formula.
• Prepare case files for the BCSE Attorney.
• Respond to customer service inquiries and maintain confidentiality.
