NIS EXPRESS in Utah runs a regional driver trainee program starting in West Valley City. Trainees ride 4 to 6 weeks with an experienced trainer, earning $800 per week during training, then move to solo status with a guaranteed $1,000 per week for the first 3 months.

Average weekly gross pay ranges from $1,300 to $1,400, plus $0.50 per mile to start with banded pay on shorter loads. Home is every two weeks with about 1,900 miles weekly.

Competenze

• New drivers: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years.
• Pass hair and urine drug testing and a DOT physical.
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years; no major preventable accidents in 5 years.

Mansioni

• Train 4 to 6 weeks on the road with an experienced driver trainer.

Getting your CDL in Utah is the easy part. Finding a company that will hire you without experience is harder. This regional fleet out of West Valley City trains new drivers with pay and keeps your freight in the western states, close to your home terminal.

Training

• 4 to 6 weeks on the road with an experienced driver trainer
• $800 per week while you train
• Your own truck after sign off
• $1,000 per week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo

Regional Freight

• Utah and the 11 western states
• Good freight lanes, close to the home terminal
• Home every two weeks
• About 1,900 miles a week

Pay

• $1,300 to $1,400 average weekly gross
• $0.50 per mile to start, with banded pay on shorter loads
• Standard linehaul rates after 6 months
• Performance bonus plan
