Performance Food Group is hiring an entry level Driver Trainee in Houma, LA. You will learn to operate tractor/trailer or straight truck routes, deliver and unload food products, and follow DOT regulations. Training pays $190/day for 8 weeks, then $225/day plus component pay; average earnings around $60,000/year.

Qualifications

• CDL A required for this role.
• 0-6 months of commercial driving experience for external hires.
• Must be 21 years of age and meet state licensing requirements.
• DOT health card active or in process.

Responsibilities

• Complete entry level driver training program.
• Assist driver trainer with deliveries and safety checks.
• Drive and deliver customer orders on designated routes.
• Unload freight, verify counts and collect required signatures.
• Maintain logs and comply with DOT regulations.
