Performance Food Group is seeking an entry‑level Driver Trainee to learn tractor trailer and straight truck deliveries across local routes. You will train through the company program, gain hands‑on experience with routes, loading, and unloading, and operate in compliance with DOT regulations.

Formación

• External Driver School Direct Hire with a Class A CDL or 6+ months commercial driving experience
• Must be 21 years of age
• Clean MVR for past 3 years
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pass road test
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
• Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move freight of varying size and weight

Responsabilidades

• Attends and completes PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required
• Rides-with and assists driver trainer in executing deliveries
• Perform all required safety checks including inspections per DOT regulations
• Follow all DOT and company safety guidelines and policies
• Inspect trailer and verify load and paperwork; move tractor to loading dock
• Drive to deliver customer orders according to route schedule
• Unload products and obtain signatures; handle customer returns as needed
• Ensure tractor, trailer and freight are secured when not in use
• Complete daily hours of service log
• Perform housekeeping and keep areas clean

Educación

High school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent

Valid CDL A

Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements
