Job summary

NIS EXPRESS in Grants Pass, OR is hiring drivers for its mentor program. Trainees ride with an experienced mentor for 4–6 weeks, earning $675 per week during training, then solo drives west of the Mississippi with a guaranteed $1,000 per week for the first 3 months.

Expect about 2,000 miles per week at $0.50 per mile to start, with home every two weeks and a weekly average paycheck of around $1,500. Benefits include health/dental/vision after 30 days, 401(k) match, paid time off, and $300

Qualifications

• Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Completed 120+ hours at an accredited CDL school.
• Age 21+ with ability to pass background checks.
• Willing to undergo hair and urine drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a mentor-led program for 4–6 weeks.
• Drive routes west of the Mississippi with supervision.
• Achieve road-readiness and transition to solo driving.

Job description

Southern Oregon has plenty of drivers with a fresh CDL and nowhere to use it. This western fleet changes that. A paid mentor gets you road ready, and after that you run freight west of the Mississippi at $0.50 per mile with no unloading.

Mentor Program

• 4 to 6 weeks on the road with an experienced mentor
• $675 a week during training
• Solo truck once your mentor signs off
• $1,000 a week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo

The Runs

• All states west of the Mississippi
• No unloading
• Home every two weeks
• About 2,000 miles a week

What You Need
