Job summary

MAP Transit is seeking a motivated Carrier Sales Representative in Chicago to join our Carrier Sales team. We provide structured, hands-on training to help you learn the freight brokerage industry and grow into managing your own shipments and carrier relationships.

You will learn to source carriers, negotiate rates, and oversee freight from pickup to delivery. This is a paid training position with no prior freight experience required, offering a base salary with commission and a clear growth

Responsibilities

• Book and manage carriers for customer freight.

• Maintain accurate load information in our internal systems.
• Identify and escalate issues to support timely resolution.
• Work closely with the Carrier Sales Manager and the rest of the team.

Compensation: $50,000 base salary + commission

No freight experience? No problem! We provide structured, hands‑on training to help you learn the industry, build your skills, and grow into a successful Carrier Sales Representative.

You’ll learn how to source and build relationships with carriers, negotiate rates, and manage freight from pickup through delivery. As you gain experience, you’ll transition into managing your own shipments and carrier relationships.

What You’ll Do

• Book and manage carriers for customer freight.

• Track shipments from pickup through delivery.
• Communicate with carriers regarding load requirements and updates.
• Maintain accurate load information in our internal systems.
