Job summary

Johns Hopkins University is seeking entry-level Police Officers to support campus safety across Homewood, East Baltimore, and Peabody campuses. Officers will perform patrols, engage with students, staff and visitors, provide safety information, and respond to emergencies in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• Knowledge of modern law enforcement practices and laws.
• Ability to work with diverse campus communities.

Responsibilities

• Represent JHPD's vision and coordinate resources per supervision.
• Provide full level of law enforcement work and enforce laws and regulations.
• Patrol designated areas by vehicle, bike, or foot; report hazards.
• Establish rapport with campus community and partners.
• Coordinate investigations and assist in court preparations.
• Direct traffic and assist with crowd control.
• Maintain equipment and prepare cases for court.
