Job summary

Johns Hopkins University Police Department is seeking highly motivated individuals to serve as Police Officers. Officers work in a team environment with integrity, professionalism, humanity and courage to protect the lives and property of the Johns Hopkins community.

They will provide campus police services across Homewood, East Baltimore and Peabody campuses. Entry level positions are open to applicants with no prior law enforcement experience who meet the posted requirements, complete MPCTC

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 20.5 years of age.
• Must be a citizen of the United States or a permanent resident who is eligible for U.S. citizenship as described, and must provide required documents.

Responsibilities

• Represent the JHPD vision, mission and values when interacting with university and community members.
• Provide full law enforcement work, enforce laws, protect lives and property, and engage in problem-solving to enhance safety.
• Patrol designated areas by vehicle, bicycle or foot; detect violations and report hazards; establish community relations.
