Pape-Dawson is seeking a CAD Technician I for our Houston Site Development team. This entry-level role supports engineers and designers in preparing construction documents, exhibits, and technical materials under close supervision.

You will perform basic drafting, coordinate with team members, and help maintain project files while learning company CAD standards and agency requirements. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in CAD/Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of CAD software; familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills; ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing project needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic drafting and design tasks using CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare and update construction plans and exhibits for site development projects.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project managers to meet objectives and deadlines.
• Apply CAD standards to ensure consistency in layers, styles, and sheet layouts.
• Assist with organizing technical documentation and project files; support QA/QC procedures.
