Job summary

Pape-Dawson’s Nashville team is seeking an intermediate CAD Technician II to support land development projects. You will draft, revise, and coordinate construction documents in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with guidance from engineers and project managers.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, consistency with CAD standards, and proactive QA/QC of drawings. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in CAD/Design or related field required.
• 3+ years of experience preparing civil/transportation/structural/utility/aviation construction documents using CAD software.
• Proficiency in CAD software with adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise construction plans, profiles, and exhibits for various land development projects using CAD software.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project managers to meet objectives and deadlines.
• Develop documents from markups and redlines with increasing independence.
• Apply CAD drafting standards to ensure consistency in layers, styles, and sheet layouts.
• QA/QC procedures to ensure drawing accuracy and compliance with agency checklists.
• Review own work for accuracy, and assist engineers with technical documentation and exhibits.
• Maintain organized project files for efficient team collaboration.
