Job summary

GVI, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, seeks a Junior Programmer to join the team at White Sands Missile Range. You will implement small features, develop utilities, and assist with builds on Linux systems, working under guidance from senior engineers.

Responsibilities include code reviews, documentation, and timely communication of progress. US citizenship and ability to obtain SECRET clearance are required; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or related field, or equivalent demonstrated programming experience.
• Entry-level candidates welcome; coursework, internships, and personal projects may satisfy experience requirements.
• Ability to write, compile, run, and debug programs in C or C++. Familiarity with a scripting language, such as bash or python.
• Basic Linux command-line skills, including navigating directories, managing files, and running programs.
• Ability to read and process CSV or other structured data files.
• Ability to follow software requirements, test results against expected behavior, and document changes.

Responsibilities

• Implement small software features and correct defects under guidance of experienced personnel.
• Develop and maintain utilities for test support and data analysis.
• Assist with software builds, installation, integration, and testing on Linux systems.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Complete assigned tasks and communicate schedule risks promptly.
