The position requires a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Michigan driver’s license, with responsibilities including safety trainings, and collaboration with contractors and the public facilities team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of related work experience in trades or construction.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Performs maintenance and repairs on City facilities; troubleshoots and repairs components.
• Maintains plumbing fixtures; troubleshoots and winterizes plumbing systems.
• Diagnoses and repairs doors; installs locksets.
• Follows safety trainings and responds to emergencies.
• Oversees external contractor work for projects.
• Enters data for work orders, security monitoring, lighting control, and timesheets.
• Reads work orders, manuals, diagrams and safety documentation.
• Works independently, prioritizes tasks, and responds to emergencies.
