Job summary

Wedgwood Christian Services in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to support building, grounds, and equipment maintenance. You will perform repairs across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and related tasks, follow safety guidelines, and collaborate with the facilities team to complete projects on schedule.

The role requires a high school diploma or trade school equivalency, a valid driver's license, and prior maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience demonstrating a range of repair skills.
• Working knowledge of common tools, appliances and devices.
• Solid understanding of plumbing, carpentry and electrical systems; safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain buildings, grounds and equipment.
• Perform painting, drywall work and miscellaneous touch-ups.
• Assist with new construction, renovations and on-call emergencies.
• Manage and organize tools, supplies, and work records.
• Drive agency vehicles and assist with moving furniture as needed.
• Support safety, compliance, and quality assurance.
