Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking an Entry-Level Transportation Bridge Engineer to join our Raleigh, NC office. You will contribute to a wide range of bridge and transportation projects under mentorship, assisting with design, analysis, and construction documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree (ABET-accredited) with 0–4 years of experience; EIT/FE is preferred. The role includes fieldwork, collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, and a path toward

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 0–4 years of relevant experience.
• EIT/FE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and analysis of highway and transit-related bridges, culverts, and other transportation structures.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and plan sets.
• Support senior engineers in developing construction documents and specifications.
• Conduct fieldwork including bridge inspections, data collection, and site visits as needed.
• Apply structural engineering principles and software tools to solve complex design challenges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across WRA to deliver high-quality projects.
