Job summary

Microbial Discovery Group/MDG is seeking an entry-level Operations Technician in Franklin, WI. You will perform bioreactor loading, downstream processing, and packaging preparation under supervision, following SOPs and batch records to ensure safety and quality.

Responsibilities include material handling, equipment operation, and accurate production documentation. The role supports cross-training and continuous improvement in a GMP setting, with on-site work and possible overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; follow SOPs and batch records with attention to detail.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically active work.
• Basic math and data entry for production records.
• Willingness to work in GMP environments with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Load, set up, and harvest bioreactor tanks per SOPs and batch records.
• Handle slurry filling, labeling, and traceability; perform freezing steps as required.
• Operate storage freezers and downstream processing equipment under supervision.
• Weigh raw materials; maintain production records and sanitation procedures.
• Cross-train across fermentation and downstream areas; assist training of new operators.
• Perform general area housekeeping and inventory organization; support safety and quality initiatives.
• Work on-site with potential shift, weekend, and overtime needs.
