Job summary

Citi is seeking an entry-level Universal Banker in New Canaan, CT to support the customer service team and drive sales of Citi products. The role focuses on building loyalty by assisting with account openings, handling service requests, and resolving issues.

You will process basic transactions, refer opportunities to partners, and participate in branch seminars and campaigns while following all regulatory and policy controls.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of relevant retail banking experience.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic account opening for existing customers.
• Provide service delivery to internal/external customers to resolve account service issues.
• Execute financial transactions in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
• Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate.
• Create sales opportunities out of service transactions and resolve customer complaints/issues promptly and effectively.
• Support sales/service activities within the branch by participating in seminars, micromarketing events, promotional campaigns, product initiatives, etc.
• Adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of customer and bank assets.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
