Job summary

Universal Energy Solutions in Akron is hiring Direct Sales Representatives. In this entry‑level role you will work with local business owners to review electricity and natural gas supply plans, present competitive options, and recommend solutions that fit their business needs.

You’ll train with experienced Account Managers who support your early success. As you gain experience you’ll handle larger portfolios, build long‑term client relationships, and advance into Account Manager and leadership

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable personal vehicle.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable meeting with business owners face-to-face.
• Preferred: Previous experience in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, or another customer-facing role.
• Self-motivated with strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet face-to-face with business owners and decision-makers.
• Review current electricity and natural gas supply plans.
• Help businesses identify opportunities to reduce energy costs.
• Recommend competitive energy supplier options based on each customer’s needs.
• Build relationships with prospective commercial customers.
• Learn our proven customer consultation process alongside experienced mentors.
• Travel throughout an assigned territory (typically within a 30‑mile radius of the office).
