Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is hiring a General Service Technician in Buda, TX. This entry-level role supports basic vehicle maintenance, tire services, and inspections while learning from experienced technicians and store leaders.

You will perform oil changes, tire services, basic maintenance, and Digital Vehicle Inspections, with opportunities for career growth within the Sun Auto network.

Qualifications

• Reliable, safety-focused, mechanically inclined and eager to learn.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check.
• Able to work weekends and maintain a flexible schedule.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire services including mounting, dismounting, balancing, and rotations.
• Conduct oil changes and basic maintenance (fluids, wipers, bulbs, batteries, filters).
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections and document work orders accurately.
• Identify safety-related issues and communicate findings to the team.
• Assist with state inspections where applicable and under supervision.
• Keep shop and customer areas clean and organized.
• Assist with parts transport and inventory tasks.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE at all times.
• Collaborate with technicians and service advisors; participate in training.
• Adhere to company policies and be flexible with schedule including weekends.
