Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Non-Certified Technician to inspect and service vehicles when delivered to the dealer, making minor repairs to place vehicles in saleable condition. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6–12 months of previous work experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• General mechanical skills and tool use ability.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Sign an acceptance for each vehicle delivered.
• Inspect vehicles for safety compliance and defects.
• Inspect surfaces for chips and scratches in paint.
• Start engine and test steering, brakes, transmission, engine.
• Replace defective items using hand tools.
• Install optional equipment as specified by the customer.
