Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to join the Firestone Complete Auto Care team in Homer Glen, IL. You will be part of a collaborative shop crew servicing vehicles, with duties including routine maintenance, brake and tire work, and basic diagnostics.

The role emphasizes learning through hands-on training, with full and part-time benefits from day one, and opportunities for ASE certifications as you grow within Bridgestone Retail Operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times.
• Experience in automotive service industry preferred.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems (brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling, exhaust, electrical).
• Change oil and/or perform scheduled maintenance services.
• Install and perform tire maintenance.
• Install batteries, shock absorbers, and check electrical systems.
• Road test vehicles.
