General job duties of an Automotive Service Technician include (not all-inclusive):

• Review and follow computerized automotive repair orders
• Perform inspections of vehicle functions and identify items needing attention
• Perform tire pressure checks, oil changes, tire rotations, and replace filters
• Communicate services, estimates, and repair recommendations to customers
• Keep the customer's vehicle clean and maintain a neat shop area
• Ensure all equipment is in proper working order and operate tools safely
• Complete required training and pursue ongoing technical knowledge
• Comply with laws regarding hazardous materials and waste disposal

Requirements for an Automotive Service Technician include (not all-inclusive):

• Ability to read, interpret, write, and speak technical documents in English; Spanish is a plus
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to obtain a Texas State Inspector certification (requirements link)
• Maintain an organized, safe, and clean work area
• Motivated, energetic, and customer-focused attitude
• Reliable with flexible schedule availability
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in extreme temperatures and noisy environments
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks repeatedly
