General job duties of an Automotive Service Technician include (this is not an all-inclusive list):

• Review and follow computerized automotive repair orders
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and identify items needing attention
• Conduct tire pressure checks, oil changes, tire rotations, and replace filters
• Communicate services, estimates, and recommended repairs to customers
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Keep the work area neat and organized
• Ensure all equipment is in proper working order
• Operate tools and equipment safely
• Complete required training within designated timeframes
• Continuously pursue technical knowledge as automotive technology advances
• Follow all laws regarding hazardous materials and waste disposal

Requirements

Basic requirements for an Automotive Service Technician include (not an exhaustive list):

• Ability to read, interpret, write, and speak technical documents in English. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
• Ability to maintain an organized, safe, and clean work environment
• High motivation, energy, and a customer-focused attitude
• Reliability and flexibility to work according to business needs
• Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete or metal surfaces
• Ability to work in environments with extreme temperatures, loud noises, and exhaust fumes
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work at a rapid pace for long periods
• Physical ability to push, pull, bend, twist, and grasp tools and items for extended periods
