Job summary

Jiffy Lube International is seeking a General Service Technician for our Rosemead, CA location. This entry-level role trains you to service guests' vehicles, with a focus on safety, quality, and guest experience.

The position is part-time with a structured training program and opportunities for certifications. You will work in a fast-paced shop, gain hands-on experience, and receive benefits including 401K, bonuses, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 months of customer facing experience (i.e. retail, food service, hospitality, etc.)
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Effective communication skills to interact with guests and teammates
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude; independently motivated and a team player
• Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform bending/squatting

Responsibilities

• Promote teamwork to deliver on time and accurate guest care during all operating hours
• Provide clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles
• Keep the service center clean and presentable
• Mentor junior and mid-level automotive technicians
• Check and communicate oil level to teammates
• Ensure proper tire pressure and inflate as needed
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Complete vehicle inspections and document work performed on the repair order
• Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter
• Document all work and report safety issues to management
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned
