Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is hiring a General Service Technician in Nebraska. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour, with opportunities to grow as you learn non-technical automotive tasks and basic service repairs.

The role includes driving customers, picking up parts, and keeping the shop clean while delivering quality tire and vehicle care. Ideal candidates will have a basic understanding of automotive systems, a valid driver's license, and be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of automotive systems is preferred.
• General knowledge of under the hood and undercarriage assemblies is helpful.
• Will learn and be paid while training for GS Technician duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services.
• Uses the Multi-point Inspection/Repair Order to document vehicle condition.
• Maintains shop cleanliness including service area and tire racks.
• Drives customers, picks up parts, and transports materials as needed.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• May work Saturdays and adapt to flexible schedules.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
