Job summary

The Automobile Club of Southern California is seeking an entry-level Claims Auto Adjuster in California. You will support auto claims by handling liability, property, and material damage claims with guidance to resolve lower-complexity cases, under moderate supervision.

Responsibilities include interviewing insureds, conducting liability investigations, evaluating coverages, and negotiating settlements while using standard claims software and MS Office. Overtime and holidays may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• No prior claims experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and general computer software.
• Organization and planning recognition skills required.
• Oral and written communication skills required.
• Interpersonal skills required.
• May be required to obtain an Adjuster license within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with insureds and claimants; verify benefits and coverages.
• Conduct investigations to determine liability and damages.
• Evaluate and negotiate settlements within authority for first/third-party claims.
• Coordinate with internal and external departments as required.
• Respond quickly to customer needs and inquiries.
• Overtime and holiday hours may be required.
