Job summary

The Haskell Company in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager I, an entry-level construction management position. You will work with project managers and superintendents on-site, learn construction management methodologies, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities while supporting project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.
• Knowledge of construction industry and safety standards.
• Ability to monitor resources (budgets, schedules, materials).

Responsibilities

• Field Management, Safety, and Quality: oversee subcontractor coordination, self-perform work, safety and quality management, and site reporting.
• Document Control and Project Communications: manage submittals, RFIs, log submittals, minutes, as-builts.
• Scheduling: update progress schedules and plan construction operations.
• Financial Management: assist with budgets, costs, invoicing, change orders and cost reporting.
• Procurement and Commitments: identify subcontractors, prepare bid packages, analyze bids, draft and award subcontracts.
• Estimating: prepare detailed estimates and cost codes.
• Scope and Change Management: document changes and understand prime/subcontract terms.
• Design Coordination: participate in design reviews and coordinate with AE for design fixes.
• Client Relations: interact with client, reports, change orders, pay requisitions.
• Project Lifecycle: assist startup and close-out, manuals, punch lists, inspections.
• Software Knowledge: gain proficiency in Procore, Building Connected, scheduling software, drones, cameras, measuring equipment, weather meters, AR apps.
• Travel as required.
• Other duties.
• May supervise others.
