Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Conway, SC is hiring an Assembler I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products to customer specifications.

You will set up the work area, fit parts together, operate hand tools, and ensure the product meets quality standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace; complete pre-shift inspections; keep production records; and participate in safety and continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures; may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
