Job summary

UFP Site Built in Conway, SC is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts and assemble products per customer specs. You will set up the work area, fit parts, use hand tools, and ensure quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED (not required) and may have up to 6 months manufacturing experience; basic math skills are a plus. Applicants must be 18 or older. This is a full-time, on-site role with safety and CI programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required; 6 months manufacturing/assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and, if required, may cover, label, and band components.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized and equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment and production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with safety and quality procedures; participates in safety/CI meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
