Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Locust, NC is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate components and assemble products per customer specifications. You will secure parts, operate hand tools, and ensure a clean, safe work area while following safety and quality procedures.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and up to 6 months of manufacturing experience. This is a full-time, on-site role suitable for individuals 18 or older.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required; 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures and may cover, label, and band components.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment and production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Participates in safety and quality procedures and other programs.
