Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Gaffney, SC is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products per customer specifications.

You will secure parts, set up work areas, and use hand tools to complete assembly while following safety and quality standards. No heavy experience is required, but basic math helps; you must be at least 18 and ready to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and may cover, label, and band as needed.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized and equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Performs duties per safety and quality procedures and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
