Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products according to customer specifications. The role requires securing parts and supplies and maintaining an efficient, safe work environment on site in Locust, NC.

You'll complete setup, follow detailed instructions, operate hand tools, and maintain production records while adhering to safety and quality standards. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing/assembly experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures; may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized; equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned
