Job summary

APAC Atlantic, Inc. in Asheville, NC is seeking an Entry Level QC Technician to sample asphalt, run quality control tests, and support daily scheduling with management and crew members. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork across lab and field settings.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, willingness to obtain DOT certifications, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Overtime and travel to multiple locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; able to interpret and apply verbal and/or written instructions in English
• Must obtain and maintain DOT certifications required to test asphalt per state regulations

Responsibilities

• Perform Asphalt Quality Control tests in lab or on roadway and compile data
• Coordinate sampling and test planning with management, plant personnel, crewmembers and DOT inspectors
• Maintain safety standards and follow OSHA/MSHA procedures
• Record accurate test results and maintain database
• Assist customers with quality-related matters and other duties as assigned
