Job summary

APAC Atlantic, Inc. is seeking a Lab Technician to sample asphalt and verify product specifications in Franklin, NC. The role involves coordinating with management, plant personnel, and inspectors to obtain samples and designs for corrective actions.

The position requires ability to perform QC tests in lab or roadway settings, maintain accurate data, and comply with safety policies including OSHA/MSHA regulations. Prior asphalt lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to understand English instructions.
• Must obtain and maintain DOT certifications to test asphalt as required by state regulations.
• Experience with asphalt lab testing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sample asphalt products to ensure specifications are met.
• Coordinate scheduling with management, plant personnel, crewmembers, and inspectors.
• Perform Asphalt Quality Control tests in lab or on roadway and record results.
• Maintain safety and PPE compliance and keep a testing results database.
• Assist customers with quality-related questions and duties as assigned.
