Newport Construction is seeking a Quality Control Technician to oversee asphalt production quality on plant and jobsite. You will sample materials, conduct laboratory testing, and verify conformance to specifications to support production and delivery.

Strong math and communication skills are essential, with experience in construction materials a plus. Work is outdoors on construction sites with exposure to noise and weather.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quality Control Technician.
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Must understand directions and communicate effectively,

Responsibilities

• Inspect plant, materials, and jobsite; conduct testing to ensure quality.
• Sample, inspect, and test construction materials per standards.
• Communicate test results to operators and supervisors.
• Review mix designs and ensure job specs are met.
• Prepare QC reports and recommend corrective actions.
