Job summary

Cogent Scientific in Louisville, CO seeks an Entry-level Analytical Chemist to support ADMET workflows and LC-MS/MS analyses on cutting-edge instrumentation. You will perform in vitro ADMET assays, generate quantitation data with Sciex 6500, and support a range of assays under supervision, while maintaining accurate ELN records and collaborating with a skilled team.

The role is onsite on first shift (5am–2pm local time) with training preceding the move to the shift.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field.
• Experience with LC-MS/MS bioanalytical quantitation.
• Familiarity with ELN, LIMS, and informatics systems.
• Ability to run in vitro ADMET assays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Run weekly in vitro ADMET assays.
• Perform LC-MS/MS bioanalytical quantitation using Sciex 6500.
• Support in vitro assay work across the ADMET endpoints.
• Assist automated workflows with Hamilton STAR/STARlet and High-Res Bio platforms.
• Maintain accurate ELN records and documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with a team and work independently.

We currently have a role available for a Entry-level Analytical Chemist.

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Run weekly in vitro ADMET (absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and toxicology) assays
• Perform LC-MS/MS bioanalytical quantitation supporting ADMET assays using Sciex 6500
• Provide in-vitro assay support across the full range of assays offered (e.g., permeability, metabolic stability, plasma protein binding, CYP inhibition, solubility, and related ADMET endpoints)
• Support and execute automated workflows using Hamilton STAR/STARlet liquid handling platforms and High-Res Bio systems for assay execution
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic lab notebook (ELN) records
• Work effectively both independently and in a team environment

Job requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

• B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline
• Hands-on wet laboratory skills: weighing, pipetting, and sample/reagent preparation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with LC-MS/MS bioanalytical quantitation
• Familiarity with laboratory informatics, LIMS, and/or electronic lab notebook (ELN) systems
• Good organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
• Cell culture, aseptic technique

This is an onsite, first shift position (approx. 5am-2pm local time) at the Louisville, CO site. Training would take place from 8am-5pm local time before moving to earlier shift.
