Job summary

Cogent Scientific in Louisville, CO is seeking an entry-level Analytical Chemist to join our lab team. You will perform weekly in vitro ADMET assays, LC-MS/MS bioanalytical quantitation on the Sciex 6500, and support a full range of assays with ELN records.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology, hands-on wet-lab skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Hamilton STAR automation and LIMS/ELN is a plus; relocation benefits may be provided.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field.
• Hands-on wet laboratory skills: weighing, pipetting, sample prep.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; basic automation familiarity.
• Experience with LC-MS/MS bioanalytical quantitation is a plus.
• Familiarity with LIMS/ELN systems and lab workflow basics.

We currently have a role available for a Entry-Level Analytical Chemist.

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Run weekly in vitro ADMET (absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and toxicology) assays

• Perform LC-MS/MS bioanalytical quantitation supporting ADMET assays using Sciex 6500

• Provide in-vitro assay support across the full range of assays offered (e.g., permeability, metabolic stability, plasma protein binding, CYP inhibition, solubility, and related ADMET endpoints)

• Support and execute automated workflows using Hamilton STAR/STARlet liquid handling platforms and High-Res Bio systems for assay execution

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic lab notebook (ELN) records

  Work effectively both independently and in a team environment

Job requirements include, but are not limited to the following:

• B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline

• Hands-on wet laboratory skills: weighing, pipetting, and sample/reagent preparation

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Experience with automation and liquid handling platform

• Experience with LC-MS/MS bioanalytical quantitation

• Familiarity with laboratory informatics, LIMS, and/or electronic lab notebook (ELN) systems

• Good organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

• Cell culture, aseptic technique

This is an onsite, day shift position (approx. 8a-5p local time) at Louisville, CO site.
