Job summary

Cogent Scientific, an insourced contract research organization, is seeking an entry-level Analytical Chemist for first and second shifts in Indianapolis, IN. Training will precede shift start. You will perform in vitro ADMET assays and LC-MS/MS quantitation, maintain ELN records, and support team projects in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications include a B.S. in Chemistry or related field, wet lab skills, MS Office proficiency, and familiarity with ELN/LIMS.

• Hands-on wet laboratory skills and accurate pipetting.
• Familiarity with ELN/LIMS and basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Run ADMET assays (in vitro) on a weekly basis.
• Perform LC-MS/MS bioanalytical quantitation supporting ADMET assays.
• Provide in vitro assay support across the full range of endpoints.
• Support automated workflows and maintain accurate ELN records.

We currently have a role available for a Entry-level Analytical Chemist 1st & 2nd Shift.

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Run weekly in vitro ADMET (absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and toxicology) assays

• Perform LC-MS/MS bioanalytical quantitation supporting ADMET assays using Sciex 6500

• Provide in-vitro assay support across the full range of assays offered (e.g., permeability, metabolic stability, plasma protein binding, CYP inhibition, solubility, and related ADMET endpoints)

• Support and execute automated workflows using Hamilton STAR/STARlet liquid handling platforms and High-Res Bio systems for assay execution

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic lab notebook (ELN) records

• Work effectively both independently and in a team environment

Job requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

• B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline

• Hands-on wet laboratory skills: weighing, pipetting, and sample/reagent preparation

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Experience with LC-MS/MS bioanalytical quantitation

• Familiarity with laboratory informatics, LIMS, and/or electronic lab notebook (ELN) systems

• Good organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

• Cell culture, aseptic technique

We have multiple positions available for first shift (5am - 2pm) and second shift (10am-7pm). These are positions onsite in Indianapolis, IN location. Training will take place from 8a-5p before moving to designated shift.
