Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Electrical Technician I in California to diagnose, repair and fabricate aircraft wiring and electrical systems under supervision. This entry-level role supports maintenance teams and assists in installing and testing electrical components on fleet aircraft.

Requirements include FAA Airframe Technician’s Certificate or FCC General Radio Certificate (or one year aerospace experience in lieu).

Qualifications

• FAA Airframe Technician certificate or FCC General Radio certificate required; one year of aerospace electrical experience may qualify in lieu of certificates.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and FAA maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of aircraft AC/DC electrical systems and wiring standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, repair and fabricate aircraft wiring and electrical systems and components.
• Disassemble and overhaul electrical components; install and rig components and return to service.
• Design and fabricate electrical wire harness assemblies and wiring schematics for fleet aircraft modifications.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform confined space entry as needed.
