Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Carson, CA is seeking an entry-level Threadroll Machinist to operate thread rolling equipment for aerospace fasteners. Training will be provided on equipment operation, inspection requirements, tooling, and procedures.

You will perform setup and adjustments under supervision, document production and inspections, and participate in cross training to build proficiency in thread rolling operations.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience operating machinery.
• Ability to perform basic math, including decimals and fractions.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Operate threadroll equipment to manufacture aerospace fasteners per work instructions and quality requirements.
• Learn basic machine setup, tooling changes, and adjustments under guidance of experienced machinists.
• Prepare production documentation and inspection reports using basic measuring equipment.
• Perform in-cell wash, tumble, and other roll operations as required.
• Conduct first article and in-process inspections; use gauges to measure critical dimensions and input data into SPC systems.
• Follow EHS policies, safety procedures, and report incidents immediately.
