Job summary

Astronics PECO is seeking an entry-level Production Associate for the day shift in Clackamas, Oregon. You will learn to read blueprints, operate production equipment, and assemble parts for aerospace applications.

You may have power tool experience, and you must be able to lift up to 30 lbs, read schedules, perform basic math, and eventually obtain a forklift license. Drug screening and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is acceptable, not required.
• Experience with power tool and equipment operation is a plus.
• Willing to obtain forklift license.
• Comfort with hand tools and basic measurements.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs during shift.
• Able to read directions verbally, via diagrams or schedules.
• Capable of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Willing to use a computer to enter, access or retrieve information.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and procedures to form a complete unit.
• Set up production equipment and machines.
• Fit and install components like heli-coils, pins, bearings, screws and washers.
• Clean, sand, trim, tap, straighten, and bond parts using various machines.
• Degrease parts using a washer.
• Load/unload parts, operate presses and vibratory equipment.
• Operate micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and hand tools.
• Visually inspect surfaces for flaws and adjust as needed.
• Wrap, pack and label product for shipment.
