Job summary

BCBST BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. is hiring an entry-level actuarial student to join the Actuarial Division. You will work with actuarial models to set reserves, estimate risk adjustment, and develop premiums while exploring AI applications within Actuarial.

The role offers flexible work arrangements (remote, hybrid, or in-office) and sponsorship is not available for this position. You will collaborate with teams across BCBST and contribute to monthly forecasts and pricing analyses.

Qualifications

• Completion of 1+ Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Develop models for pricing, forecasting, or valuation of Commercial and Government lines.
• Retrieve and prepare data for model development.
• Monitor experience and analyze actual vs. expected results.
• Present technical work results to supervisor and peers.
