BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. is offering an Actuarial Internship within the Remote Internship program.

The role provides hands-on experience in assumptions development, experience analyses, and collaboration with actuaries to support health insurance product pricing, risk adjustment, and valuation. The internship runs May 2027 through August 2027 for at least 20 hours per week, with potential up to 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Active college students who have completed a minimum of two years of college are eligible.
• Recent graduates or students in a Masters/Doctoral program are eligible; must provide transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Support research to develop assumptions and conduct experience analyses for health insurance products.
• Collaborate with staff actuaries and analysts to ensure premium accuracy and reserve estimates.
• Assist with valuation, pricing, and financial statement completeness.
