Job summary

Freese and Nichols in Texas is seeking new graduate engineers to launch their careers in Water Resources, Stormwater, Water/Wastewater Planning and Design, or Transportation. You will work with experienced engineers, gain field exposure, and build skills toward your EIT/EI and PE.

Opportunities are available across Texas with locations you can choose during apply. The firm supports hybrid work, mentorship, and a culture focused on learning and delivering practical, community-facing designs.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in degree program listed above.
• Internship experience preferred.
• Student organization involvement, especially leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop design plans, support hydraulic calculations and drainage studies, analyze data, build models, and help prepare technical reports and construction documents.
• Build and review models using industry-standard engineering software.
• Work with experienced engineers who will explain the “why”, not just give you a task.
• Visit project sites and see how designs move from plans to reality.
• Gradually take ownership of portions of real project deliverables.
