Job summary

Blue Origin is expanding its software team to design, build, and maintain applications for spaceflight. You will be matched with an engineering group based on your skills and the company’s needs, with emphasis on co-locating with hardware teams.

Responsibilities include verification plans, development and testing of embedded software in C, C++, and Python, and collaboration across disciplines to advance safe, reusable spacecraft systems.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent in a related field and recent graduates starting Fall 2027.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, or C#/Java required.
• Experience with formalized verification activities and debugging in software teams.
• Ability to work both independently and in collaborative software projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain software applications and components.
• Engage in requirement analysis, code development, testing, and system integration.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to build verification plans, tools, and tests for safety‑critical, real‑time embedded software.
• Write and verify code for embedded environments in C, C++, and Python.
• Develop automated tests and tooling to support efficient build, debug, and deployment.
