Job summary

Accenture Flex seeks an entry-level software engineer to support design and development of intelligent AI-powered solutions. You will work under senior guidance to build backend services in Java and Python and integrate Anthropic Claude APIs.

You will participate in architecture discussions, agile ceremonies, and collaborate with data science, product, and DevOps teams while onsite in Charlotte 3–4 days per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of work experience in software development or AI.
• Foundational knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming principles.
• Basic proficiency in Python, including scripting and data manipulation.
• Exposure to or academic interest in Machine Learning concepts (supervised/unsupervised).
• Familiarity with REST API consumption and integration patterns.
• Basic understanding of LLMs and generative AI concepts.
• Interest in the Anthropic Claude ecosystem.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of intelligent solutions powered by machine learning and large language models.
• Gain hands-on exposure to AI-driven architectures, backend development, and Anthropic Claude ecosystem.
• Assist in the design and documentation of AI-oriented architecture solutions under senior guidance.
• Develop and maintain backend services and integrations using Java and Python.
• Support the implementation of AI features leveraging Anthropic Claude models via API.
• Assist in building prompt engineering strategies and LLM-based workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data science, product, and DevOps.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following team standards.
• Research and evaluate emerging AI tools, frameworks, and best practices.
