Datumtg is seeking a Java/Python Application Developer with AI experience to join a long-term engagement in Charlotte, NC. You will work on backend systems, RESTful APIs, and AI-enhanced platforms, collaborating with product and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes building scalable microservices, streaming data pipelines, and containerized deployments in a cloud-native environment. Strong Java and Python skills are essential, with a focus on systems integration and AI frameworks.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of Java development with Spring Boot experience.
• 2-3 years of Python backend or data-driven development.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of Reactive Programming (WebFlux).
• Hands-on with Apache Kafka for event-driven architecture.
• MongoDB and Oracle database expertise.
• Experience with Flink for streaming data pipelines.
• GraphQL knowledge and AI platform exposure.
• Familiar with Dialogflow CX or similar frameworks; LLM concepts.
• Exposure to ADK, Playbook, or similar agentic frameworks.
• ML fundamentals and model telemetry understanding.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with microservices, CI/CD, and cloud-native (OCP, Kubernetes).
