Institute for Community Living Inc. is seeking an Entitlements Specialist Coordinator to join the Entitlements Department in New York, NY.

This on-site, full-time position reports to supervision and focuses on processing and maintaining entitlement records and related duties. The role requires meticulous record-keeping, accurate financial tracking of benefits, coordination with SSA and collateral agencies, and counseling residents on entitlement options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social/human services or related field; 2+ years of experience in entitlement or related service.
• Associate degree plus 4+ years of experience in social/human services or entitlement work.
• High School diploma/G.E.D. plus 6+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Entitlement client case records timely and accurately.
• Maintain monthly Entitlements program benefits spreadsheets and Direct Deposit records.
• Scan and archive entitlement documents; update electronic data systems daily.
• Develop collateral contacts to maximize residents’ entitlement benefits.
• Provide entitlement counselling to residents and staff; prepare presentations.
